Please appreciate that this website was formed mid-June 2008 and has taken longer than expected to get all the information etc. that the Society wanted to put on it. For quite a long time the Society has been waitng patiently for further professional help to come our way. So we would ask you to please be patient for the time being. The past-Secretary is trying hard ot update this site. Thank you very much - your understanding is very much appreciated BUT please explore what we have done during the past few months. OUR AIM:- Enthusing people in Abergavenny and beyond with steam. Beyond means to our cunning previous secretary - anywhere. The section in the society's title 'and Distirct' is taken in its widest context; indeed we even have a member who lives in Downpatrick, Northern Ireland, as well as in Portsmouth, Norfolk, Outer London as well as Swindon.
